Childhood of World Figures

The Childhood of World Figures series is a companion to the acclaimed Childhood of Famous Americans series. It chronicles the early years of famous men and women from around the world in an accessible manner. Each book is faithful in spirit to the values and experiences that influenced the person's development. History is fleshed out with fictionalized details, and conversations have been added to make the stories come alive for young readers. While the exact words are the product of an informed imagination, care has been taken to insure that they are consistent with what we know about each famous figure.
