Middle Ages

That wonderful mysterious in-between time of castles & cathedrals. And Emperors, Bishops, and Knights in armor. Magna Charta, common-law, trial-by-jury, chivalry, and the modern nation states were all born in the Middle Ages. They get short shrift in most history curricula - but children love this period. Let them spend time getting to know it.
