Eras I & II cover the emergence of civilization from 3,000BC to about 500BC
Era III includes 8 maps covering Persia, China, Greece, India and Rome from 500BC to 400AD
Era IV 10 maps covering 300AD - 1450AD
Era V European discovery, 5 maps, 1140-1700
Era VI Global empires, 8 maps, 1560-1775
Era VII Age of Revolutions, 19 maps, 1776-1900
Era VIII Crisis & Achievement, 11 maps, 1870-1945
Era IX 1945 to present, 11 maps, 1945-2004

This is the best set of historical maps I have found for upper elementary and high school.
